About the Author<\/h2>\n

Suzanna J. Linton was born in Charleston, SC but grew up in rural\u00a0Orangeburg County.\u00a0At age eight, she tried to read The Secret Garden by\u00a0herself.\u00a0After following her mother\u00a0around for a day, asking questions\u00a0about the Yorkshire accent, she gave up, but that didn’t deter her in\u00a0developing a deep appreciation for books and the worlds to which they\u00a0open.\u00a0A few years later, she wrote her first poem, which eventually led\u00a0her to try writing fiction.<\/p>\n

In 2002, she went to the summer\u00a0program at the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, where\u00a0she refined her poetry and wrote her first decent short story (before\u00a0this, she mostly wrote novels along with her poetry).\u00a0In 2003, Suzanna\u00a0began attending Francis Marion University, where she graduated with a\u00a0Bachelor’s in English.<\/p>\n

Today, she continues to live in South Carolina with her husband and their menagerie of animals.<\/p>\n
