Below you&#8217;ll find the inks for days 12-18. If you have a suggestion for a possible dupe for any of these inks, let me know in the comments, and I&#8217;ll add it to the wrap up post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some reminders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I&#8217;m not attempting to dupe the special properties of the inks \u2014 sheen, shimmer, scent \u2014 only the base color.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can click the images to view them larger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I swatched each ink with a small (#2) paintbrush and wrote with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Zebra-Comic-Model-Chrome-PG-6B-C-K\/dp\/B078W9NCF2\">Zebra G dip nib<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Behind-the-scenes: I included more than just my final swatches for each ink. Preliminary swatches are on Iroful A5 dot grid paper. I&#8217;ve found that inks can look VERY different on this paper. I swatched the top matches on Franklin-Christoph sugar cane paper (from a leftover Firma-Flex notebook) and Kokuyo 5mm grid Sarasara loose-leaf paper. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While I try to edit the images so they look as close to real life as possible, I can&#8217;t guarantee that the color you see on your screen will be true to life. However, with all the dupes on the same page, you&#8217;ll see how the colors look in relation to each other, which is the main point of these posts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I can&#8217;t fairly call any ink a perfect color match, as I&#8217;m not comparing them scientifically, I&#8217;m just using my eyes. The shimmer shifts from magenta to bronze to greenish-gold. The multichrome shift is prominent in the swatches, and somewhat visible in the writing samples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XlW-vl5dzFc?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The best color match is Wearingeul Metamorphosis, with Diamine Writer&#8217;s Blood coming in a close second. Private Reserve Black Cherry is also a close match on Iroful and Franklin-Christoph paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Top Matches<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The top matches I compared to Bah Humbug are (swatched left-to-right): Diamine Writer&#8217;s Blood, Ferris Wheel Press The Velvet Ballet, Private Reserve Black Cherry, Wearingeul Metamorphosis, and Robert Oster Australian Syrah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Kokuyo Sarasara paper, Writer&#8217;s Blood is a hint too pink. The Velvet Ballet is a bit too muted and too pale. Black Cherry is a bit too purple. Metamorphosis is a near-perfect color match. When enough ink pools, you can see pink, and even some straight green. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, I wasn&#8217;t able to find a match close enough to consider a dupe. I wasn&#8217;t even able to find an ink close enough to call similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Top Matches<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The top matches I compared to Weeping Willow are (swatched left-to-right): Wearingeul Zemyna, Colorverse Chesapeake Bay, Troublemaker Kelp Tea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Kokuyo Sarasara paper, Zemyna is too gray. Chesapeake Bay is too pale. Herbin Gris Nuage, Dominant Industry Les Nymph\u00e9as: Matin, and Diamine Ghost..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Kokuyo Sarasara paper, Iris Nebula is a near-perfect color match, although the shimmer is gold and blue, rather than silver and purple. Gris Nuage is too pale and not saturated enough. Matin is too pale and is a multishader.
