A few years ago, Country Made Pens<\/a> posted an absolutely gorgeous pen<\/a> with 3D scrollwork engraving on it. From the day I saw it, I fell in love with the work. The only thing that stopped me from buying that one was the base material \u2014 the resin \u2014 wasn’t to my liking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I planned to save up for it, as it’s an expensive pen \u2014 understandably so, with the amount of work that goes into it. But, other wants and needs kept popping up. Finally, at the end of last year, I decided to just go for it, as that would make<\/em> me save up. I put my name on Troy’s list, and waited for my turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, it was just a matter of choosing my material and waiting for it to be ready. Once it arrived, I could hardly believe how beautiful it was. And that leads neatly into the pen porn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once I got the notification that it was my turn, I went looking for materials. I wanted something that’s pretty, but wouldn’t outshine the engraved sleeve. And it had to go with silver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ended up choosing Stormwind’s Blanks<\/a> Calypso<\/a>, which is not currently available. The multi-chromatic shifts are stunning and very hard to capture. The video below does a decent job of showing off the material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
