To be completely transparent, I’ve been feeling a bit disenchanted with the 100\u00b0 Anniversario since Aurora released the Duca. I don’t like that a pen as special as this one \u2014 developed as the company’s signature 100th anniversary pen \u2014 has been “copied-and-pasted” in blue for a regular release. I’m hoping this post will rekindle my love for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the findings are sterling silver, they’ve tarnished over the past 3.5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The filigree design on the silver bands is beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “flam\u00e9” guilloche pattern is beautiful, catching light in a way that means there’s always both shadow and highlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m really hoping to fall back in love with the 100\u00b0 Anniversario, both for aesthetic and practical reasons. Objectively, it’s a beautifully made pen. It’s also the most expensive pen I’ve ever purchased, and I should love it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
