Review<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NOTE: This review is based on an eBook I borrowed from my local public library system on December 22, 2025.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’d heard a lot of good things about Legends & Lattes<\/em> (L&L<\/em>) before I decided to give it a chance. I haven’t historically had great luck with fantasy books, so I tend to avoid them. But I really enjoyed L&L<\/em>. To me, it was more of a non-fantasy story taking place in a fantasy setting, and that suited me just fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The characters are memorable and loveable. The story gets a bit slow in places, but I always wanted to know what happened next. There isn’t much conflict, and what exists isn’t overly angsty or critical; you know that everything will turn out OK. Which is exactly what I look for in books. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite aspect of the story \u2014 aside from the characters \u2014 was the descriptions of the food and beverages. I loved how the various menu offerings were described and introduced to the characters. I can only assume Travis Baldree is a foodie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I heartily recommend L&L<\/em>, even if you don’t usually like fantasy, like me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
