In the first book of the Draga Court series, Princess Adelina\u2019s coming-of-age party will declare to the worlds she is finally eligible to wed. All she wants is to serve her people and the crown with honor, but when a dangerously\u00a0attractive prince from another galaxy \u2013 one who they all thought was dead \u2013 arrives with warnings of monstrosities and war, will her feelings put her in a position where she has to choose between her people and love?<\/p>\n

The Draga Court series is a beautiful combination of fantasy and space opera set in a faraway future where humans have altered their genetics to save their species from their destructive natures. Dominance and rank weave a\u00a0complicated dance among the galaxy\u2019s society where a true submissive has to find her place, and learn the true meaning of power and love.<\/p>\n

Review<\/h2>\n

I started Princess of Draga<\/em> predisposed to dislike it. The handful of pages of encyclopedic knowledge at the beginning of the book were a turn off. I’m of the opinion that ll relevant information should be included in the actual story.<\/p>\n

However, I was pleasantly surprised by the book. I’ve never been into fantasy stories, but this one is worth reading. War and drama were interwoven with sex and history in such a way that I didn’t get tired of any of it.<\/p>\n

I would have liked to see more of the\u00a0camerraletto<\/em>, mainly because it offered a bit of a tutorial for sensuality and confidence, and I could certainly use more of that. I came across a handful of errors, but nothing too terrible, but I was a teensy bit annoyed than none of the major plot threads were followed through to completion in this book. I know it’s part of a series, but I was left feeling like I’d only read the prologue of an epic saga. I would have preferred to have a bit of conclusion to feel more like I was done with book 1.<\/p>\n

Overall, the world built by Emma Dean is interesting and futuristic, yet believable. Once I have more free time available, I’ll be picking up the other books in the series.<\/p>\n
