She didn t know he came from a long line of vampires until the night she was visited by his half-brothers Jaegar and Stuart Greystone. There were a lot of secrets her boyfriend didn t tell her. Now she must discover them in order to keep alive. But having two half-brothers vampires around had just gotten interesting….

Review

I enjoyed Pulse. As far as vampire books go, I think it managed some originality with the Life’s Blood concept. It’s not a plot line I’ve seen before.

My only real gripe with Pulse is that I got a strong Twilight vibe with the push toward chastity, some vampires wanting to be “good”, and not drinking from humans, despite remaining unsatisfied drinking from other blood sources.

I was happy to not find any errors as I read. I look forward to reading more of the Pulse series when I have some time. I definitely want to know what happens next.

*Slight Spoiler Warning*

I’m interested in seeing what a reverse harem storyline is like in a YA series, as I doubt it will be getting very steamy. I’m assuming that Kalina will end up with all three Greystone brothers, and therefore won’t need to choose between them. Of course, that makes me wonder if she’ll be able to choose to give them all Life’s Blood. Or maybe she’ll become a vampire herself?

Giveaway!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

About the Author

Kailin Gow loves things that are edgy, cool, bright, exciting, hopeful, glittery, and jaw-droppingly awe-inspiring. She loves writing, reading, and filming stories about people whose journeys take them beyond their boundaries – physically, psychologically, intellectually, and emotionally to arrive a point and a place of inspiration and hope. Her works have been recognized by the leaders in the industry in book publishing and entertainment to be “innovative” and “disruptive”, earning her awards from ALA, The IBPA, and festivals.

Author links: Website | Facebook | Goodreads | Instagram | Twitter

Disclaimer: This review is based on a complimentary eBook I received from Xpresso Book Tours.
