The one thing she gave up on was finding love. She didn’t need that to be happy, right? In helping her brother pull off his own last-minute wedding, Justine may be in for a surprise of her own, and find love had been right there in her face the entire time.

Chase has been in love with Justine for as long as he can remember. What started off as a boyhood crush only grew as she blossomed into the woman she is today. The problem? She’s his best friends sister, and he knows that’s not something she’ll be willing to look past. But with the right timing and more than a little bit of luck, he just might get the girl of his dreams.

Join in on Justine and Chase’s adventure of love, laughter, and limousines in a romantic comedy that will make you believe in love all over again.

Review

As with Ms. Moorman’s other stories, Wait, You Did What? (WYDW) is a fun read and an interesting story. I liked the characters, and I enjoyed joining them on their ride through the story, no pun intended.

Unfortunately, I found a decent number of errors while reading WYDW, which for me is a turn off and instantly drops a review score down a point. There is no indication that my copy is an ARC, so I don’t think there will be additional edits before it’s re-published. With that said, I think WYDW could use another look-over by a copy-editor.

I feel a little odd writing this, as the author is African-American, but a few of the characters, especially Mom and Pops, felt a little stereotypical to me. However, that may just be because I’m an outsider to the culture. I grew up in a predominately Hispanic neighborhood and am well aware that some stereotypes can be true.

WYDW is certainly worth a read if you’re looking for a short, feel-good story. You can just relax and giggle at the shenanigans the characters get into.

About the Author

<img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-1039" src="https://i0.wp.com/racheldelafuente.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/tamoorman.jpg?resize=169%2C300&ssl=1" alt="T.A. Going to your child’s PTA meetings in full Gothic, especially industrial, regalia is pretty much frowned upon. Especially by your own children, and your teens would die of a heart attack.
