Review<\/h2>\n

Stir Until Petrified<\/em> was a great story. I LOVED all the strong, sassy females. And Stella has a great sass all her own. I look forward to seeing more of her. I’m hoping Etta will discover a way to reliably communicate with her.<\/p>\n

I’m eager to read book 2, and I hope we’ll find out what the light show between Etta and Luc is. It’s a cool concept, whatever it turns out to be.<\/p>\n

The entire story arc was an interesting concept, really. It felt very original to me, despite having seen many of the individual elements before.<\/p>\n

The final conflict was especially satisfying. It felt appropriately difficult. No Harry Potter Syndrome here. That final fight had me wondering if anyone would make it out alive. Huge kudos to Ms. Vallee on that.<\/p>\n

The dream walking sequence was fabulous. I really liked how the characters had to follow paths in and out of various dreams. And the inclusion of Phoenix blood was brilliant. I can’t wait to find out how else that affects Etta.<\/div>\n

I knocked one star off for the errors I found, though. You know how I am by now. If I find a bunch of errors as I read, I take away a point.<\/p>\n

But concept and story – 5 stars, so it gets a solid 4 stars from me overall. If you like witches, sass, or action, you definitely want to read Stir Until Petrified.<\/em><\/p>\n
