Broke, almost homeless, and recently fired. Those are my official reasons for answering a wanted ad for a skeevy-looking bartender gig.<\/p>\n

It went downhill the moment they asked me to do a trial shift instead of an interview\u2014to see if I\u2019d mesh with their \u201cspecial\u201d clientele. I think that part went great. Their customers were complete dickheads, and I was an asshole right back. That\u2019s the definition of fitting in, right?<\/p>\n

I expected to get thrown out on my ass. Instead, they\u2026offered me the job?<\/p>\n

It turns out this place isn\u2019t a bar. It\u2019s aguild. And the three cocky guys I drenched with a margarita during my trial? Yeah, they were mages. Either I\u2019m exactly the kind of takes-no-shit bartender this guild needs, or there\u2019s a good reason no one else wants to work here.<\/p>\n

So what\u2019s a broke girl to do? Take the job, of course\u2014with a pay raise.<\/p>\n

Note: The three mages are definitely sexy, but this series isn\u2019t a reverse harem. It\u2019s 100% fun, sassy, fast-paced urban fantasy.<\/em><\/p>\n

Review<\/h2>\n

Three Mages and a Margarita<\/em> (TMAAM<\/em>) was fabulous. I powered through in a day, desperate to know what happened next. I loved the storyline and the characters.<\/p>\n

Tori is lots of fun, and I can certainly relate to her temper, although I’ve learned to keep mine in better check. I’m interested to learn more about her brother and the “Three Mages”. I want to know more about what Aaron is like under his arrogant exterior. I certainly want to know more about Ezra and Kai. I’m curious to know how much Justin knows about magic.<\/p>\n

I kept waiting for Tori to find out she had powers or was the real target of the kidnappers. I was honestly a little bummed out that neither of those things happened. But it’s cool that a human can hold her own among the mythics.<\/p>\n

I can’t recommend TMAAM<\/em> enough. If you have some extra time, buy the book and read it. It’s great.<\/p>\n
