With April right around the corner, the time approaches that many dread: Mother’s Day. With a deceased mother, I especially dislike the multitude of emails “reminding” me how important it is that I find the right present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But this year, there’s a shining light of hope that I won’t have to go through this every year until I die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to take a moment to applaud Etsy for being the first \u2014 that I’ve seen \u2014 to make a move that, admittedly is long overdue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The other day, I received an email from Etsy giving me the option to opt out of Mother’s Day emails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a simple message, an easy thing. Just one button tap excludes me from a barrage of painful reminders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a decent amount of email marketing knowledge under my belt, I can say that this would be super easy to implement in any halfway decend marketing platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, thank you, Etsy, for showing some thoughtfulness. Here’s hoping more businesses will follow suit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
