A couple of weeks ago, when Ink Journal announced that Benu would be implementing a price increase, I knew it was time to pick up the Four Leaf Clover. As I’ve said before, I intend to collect the Talisman series pens that have shaped confetti \u2014 like the Wild Rose<\/a> and Shooting Star<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As with other Talisman model pens, the Four Leaf Clover has its namesake infused into the resin. It’s a bit unclear from the pamphlet, however, if Benu actually managed to get a hold of a ton of four leaf clovers to powder, or if they simply used the powder from the clover plant.<\/p>\n\n\n

FYI: The Four Leaf Clover doesn’t photograph true-to-life. I tried, as best as possible, to photoshop the photos to match the greens to real life, but it’s not perfect. I can’t get it the vibrant, mid-summer green that the pen is in real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like the Shooting Star, the shimmer in the bright green center areas and section is beautiful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I realize that each pen will be different, but I wish mine had more green. On one side of the barrel, especially, the green didn’t get properly disbursed <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four leaf clover shaped confetti is great. However, perhaps because it’s a more complex shape, many of them get buried in the resin. This is especially true in the black resin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like other Talisman model pens, the Four Leaf Clover came with a leaflet about the history of the inspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
