Jim bought his first Gioia pen well over a year ago, and has really enjoyed having it in his collection. However, until the Cameo Edition was released, their library of models hadn’t really called to me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve always been a fan of cameos, and the ones on the Cameo Edition are, to my untrained eye, rather well done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I edited the shadows in the second photo slightly to better show the dimension in the cameo.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The beautiful art is complemented by the swirly, ivory material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only problem with the ivory material is that it makes the barrel engraving rather hard to read. I thought I had pen number 18 until I took and edited this photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I darkened this photo significantly to make the engraving stand out more.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This particular edition has a 14K gold nib, but, to be honest, I would have been just as happy \u2014 maybe happier \u2014 with a gold-plated steel nib and a lower price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing I have no doubts about is that the Cameo Edition is a truly elegant pen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
