FanFiction Review – Lord of Caer Azkaban

Lord of Caer Azkaban

by Rorschach’s Blot

Genre: Harry Potter
Word Count: 119,393
My Rating: ★★☆

A letter causes Harry to learn some surprising things about his lineage, a different twist on the usual Harry in Azkaban story line.

Review

Lord of Caer Azkaban (LoCA) is Rorschach’s Blot’s first major story, and it shows.

The writing is less polished and there are MANY more errors than in some of the later stories. So if spelling and grammar errors bother you, this is definitely not the story for you.

That said, there is a lot to like about LoCA. It’s a unique (to me) concept with some very interesting ideas. As is often the case with Rorschach’s Blot, I wish the ending was less abrupt, and I wish we’d gotten to see a bit more of Harry’s life after his “destiny” is fulfilled.
