Three weeks ago, Brian Weaver of Iron Feather Creative posted two videos on Instagram. They featured an absolutely glorious carved pen with a sakura theme. Brian had added carving and cold enamel to a pen he’d posted a few weeks earlier.
I think I messaged him within 15 minutes of posting. This beauty is my fourth Iron Feather Creative pen, and I highly doubt it will be my last.
Like many paintings, this pen is better viewed from a bit of a distance, so I don’t have any macro photos for this pen porn post. However, so that you can view it in its full glory, I pieced together this “laid out” 360-degree view.
Of course, the laid out view doesn’t show the two finials. I love the feather logo coin on the cap finial, and the sakura on the barrel finial is beautiful.

And, of course, the rollstopper is gorgeous. I would say it’s a great fit for the pen. But, since the carvings were created after the rollstopper, I suppose I must say that Brian definitely did the rollstopper justice with the design.
And, of course, the feather-engraved nib is a fantastic final touch. I’m fairly certain Brian engraves each one on by hand.

Thanks for reading this far, I hope you enjoyed my post. Do you own an Iron Feather Creative pen? How about a sakura-themed pen? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
