In late January, I saw a post about Nahvalur’s Lunar New Year special edition. After having been told there would ne be resin versions of the Nautilus with porthole ink windows, the Lunar New Year special edition surprised me.

However, despite the beauty of the pen, I made myself wait until February to buy it. After all, I’d already bought too many pens. The universe was clearly looking out for me — or rewarding me for good behavior — as, during the self-enforced wait, I came across a post for the Enigma Stationery-exclusive Brilliant Bunny limited edition of 50 pens.

The crimson with blue sparkles spoke to me more than the white shimmer material. And, obviously it’s the one I picked up.

The Brilliant Bunny, like the regular Lunar New Year special edition, came with a 14K gold nib. It features Nahvalur’s new nib imprint, with their new logo. It’s a beautiful design, regardless.

The cap band, though, seems out-of-date, featuring their old name, Narwhal. However, there’s every chance that this pen was started before the name change so it’s not too surprising. Or perhaps they had a lot of cap bands pre-made that they now have to work through. It’s a pretty design, if a bit busy.

I feel the best part of the design is the portholes. Although, the sturdy clip is nice, too. The porthole ink windows are just so unique.

While the Nautilus design is cool, what really makes this pen is the material. It was created by Enigma Blanks specifically for this pen.

The blue shimmer is a bit difficult to capture, but I did my best. I also attempted to adjust the color on the photos to make them true-to-life.

I have zero regrets. Now, is anyone interested in a Nautilus Stylophora Berry?

And, if you’ve made it this far, you get to know that the product page on Enigma Stationery still says “add to cart” at time of writing, so you might be able to snag one for yourself.

Thank you for reading until the end. Do you own any pens from Nahvalur? If so, which one(s)? If not, what do you think of the Nautilus? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
