ARTUS Four Elements Water

Posted in Fountain Pens

Ah, my ARTUS. It’s a magnificent work of art that mesmerizes me every time I use it. The layers of paint give the design a seemingly endless depth. Every time I look at it I see more details.

The scale-like pieces of raden remind me of the book Rainbow Fish — a childhood favorite — and mermaid tails.

The artist, Eduard Makarov, Fedoskino — I hope I got that right, it’s a bit hard to read on the certificate of authenticity— managed to capture waves and sea foam magnificently. I can’t imagine ever getting tired of looking at this pen. It is 100% worth every pen of its price.

The organic shaping of the finial and end of the body remind me of a seashell — a perfect choice on the artist’s part. And the swirls of raden are a great touch.

Even the grip section is beautifully designed and executed. No matter where you look, it’s gorgeous.

I love it so much I’ve already asked about the Four Elements Fire, which is still in production. I can’t wait to see it. ARTUS still has The Four Elements Air available for those who may be interested in a one-of-a-kind painted masterpiece. Please buy it before I’m tempted to do so!!

Enjoy all of the delicious pen porn contained within this post. I take no responsibility for purchases resulting from this post.

I photographed this upside down. 🙁 Artist Eduard Makarov signed this with last initial, first initial in the Cyrillic alphabet — МЭ.

So, have I inspired pen envy with these fabulous macro shots? I hope so!!
