There isn’t a long backstory to this one, so pretty much this whole post will be pen porn.
I fell in love with this pen when I saw it on Instagram. It looks so… posh. When Jim suggested I get it as an anniversary present, I jumped on it. This pen looks like a wedding/anniversary pen.
Material
The “artificial ivory” base has an interesting, wood grain-like pattern on it. Having never seen real ivory, I have no idea if that’s an excellent imitation or a cool added detail.
Design
The design features an interesting hexagon-based pattern with a beautiful fade. I’m impressed by how perfect the raden placement is.
Section and Finials
I love that the section and finials mirror the pattern on the body. They both basically have a hexagon from the middle of the “fade” on the body. And, even better, they would be from different sections of the “fade.”
Overall Notes
I love how smooth this pen feels in my hand. And its unique look is a nod to what Mr. Cypress does best: pushing the envelope of design.
Thank you for reading until the end. Do you own any Mr. Cypress pens? Do you want one? What do you think of this one? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
