I’m trying something new. I really enjoy new makeup releases posts and videos, so I’m doing the same thing for pens. I plan to try this for the rest of the year. Depending on how I like the posts, and their reception, I may keep going after that.
There are, of course, way too many releases per month to realistically share. So this is not a round up of every release. Instead, this will be a round up of new releases that really caught my eye, or that I have strong feelings about. Click on a brand name to jump down to that section.

Colorverse
Colorverse Constellations

OK, this isn’t a pen, but I’m definitely interested. I’ve really been enjoying muted colors, so I’ll likely pick up at least one of these at some point. α Psc and α UMa, especially, stand out to me.
Esterbrook
Esterbrook Estie Fountain Pen – Nouveau Bleu/Gold
I was so excited when I received an email from Esterbrook about this. Their images were beautiful. But then, stores started releasing their own images, and my interest dropped. I wanted the beautiful bright blue pen shown in Esterbrook’s images (left). I don’t want the sad dark blue pen that it apparently actually is.
Gioia
Gioia Partenope Fiamma
Gioia has released two posts teasing this pen. Jim adores his Gioia, so I’m interested in trying one of their pens. Depending on the look of the Fiamma, I may pick it up.
Montblanc
Special Edition Muses Elizabeth Taylor Fountain Pen

I’m not getting this, but I had to include it. According to marketing copy, “Elizabeth Taylor’s passion for jewelry served as inspiration for the ring-shaped clip, which attracts attention with its special shape.” It certainly attracts attention. I can’t decide if it looks more like a door knocker or a nipple ring.
Namiki
Namiki Emperor Maki-e Fountain Pen – Coral (2021 Limited Edition)

I have expensive taste. I saw this in Goulet’s 10/14/21 newsletter. I didn’t read the name, but I could tell it was expensive. Then I clicked to view the pen. $15,600.00. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah, that isn’t happening. It’s a gorgeous pen, but no.
Pelikan
Pelikan Classic M200 Fountain Pen – Golden Beryl

I was really hoping this one would be just like the Moonstone, but in gold. That would have been gorgeous. Not that this is ugly, but it’s not really for me.
Pilot
Pilot Custom 74 Fountain Pen – Blue Stone

I’ve been planning to get a second Custom 74, and, surprisingly, I think this may be the one I get. It seems like the perfect version of this pen: understated, easily overlooks, but very satisfying. I just want to see it in person, first. The Custom 74 nib is just so great.
Platinum
Platinum Izumo Raden Galaxy Fountain Pen

This one is gorgeous. Check out this great video from Nibsmith. I love the Izumo shape, but I don’t have plans to pick this one up. It’s more than I want to pay for a pen right now.
Visconti
Visconti Homo Sapiens Ember Fountain Pen – Carbon Fiber & Copper

Oh, man. This one is STUNNING. And, honestly, I want it!!! It’s so pretty. I love the thin copper thread woven in with the carbon fiber. But the price is… OUCH!! Any of my readers have a good discount code?
Do you agree with my thoughts? Are you planning to pick up any of these releases? Which other pens caught your eye this month? Let me know in the comments.
