Review

NOTE: This review is based on an eBook I borrowed from Amazon as part of the Kindle Unlimited program.

I enjoyed Abandoned. The story was nice with minimal angst. Everyone who deserved one got a happy ending. And it was a nice change to have a story with both Darcy parents still alive.

Unlike many of Shana Granderson’s works, there were minimal errors, and I didn’t catch any continuity errors at all.

The only thing I disliked was how religious Abandoned was. It has SO MANY references to God’s plan, God’s will, God’s goodness, etc. It’s one thing to have a highly pious character who has a specific story-based reason to constantly reference God. It’s another to turn a work into religious fiction, and this was really toeing that line. 99% of the religious references in Abandoned could be removed without affecting the story in any way. Overall, though, a good read.
