Every year in June, as the weather really heats up and the humidity hits, I find myself struck by a strong sense of flojera (the feminine form of a Spanish word, pronounced flow-heh-rah). I think the closest words we have to it in English are lethargy or listlessness, but neither is quite correct, as flojera is not associated with illness and includes a sense of laziness.
So, it’s surprising that I started my blog right in the middle of June 9 years ago. I don’t remember now, but perhaps we had a mild summer that year, or maybe summer had started early and I’d already gotten the early-summer doldrums out of my system. Whatever the case, here we are, 9 years later, and I’m still blogging.
I never imagined, when I first started my blog, that it would last this long. While I don’t think it was a conscious thought, I’m sure that somewhere in my brain, I acknowledged that blogging would likely be a passing fancy, a hobby I’d grow tired of after a while.
Instead, here I am, still blogging, and very soon to cross the decade threshold!! That’s insane.

As a gift to my readers, I’ve put up a new blog page that will hopefully prove useful.
I’ve duplicated my ink comparison efforts a couple of times now, so I decided I needed a list of all of the comparisons I’ve completed so far. With that in mind, welcome to the Ink Comparisons page.
Every ink comparison I’ve posted, including Inkvent and Colorvent posts, is listed on the Ink Comparisons page, grouped by color and sorted by date posted. I intend to keep the page up-to-date, but, in case I fall behind (or forget) at any point, I have a last updated note at the top. This should also make it easy for you to keep track of whether you’ve seen all of the comparison posts.
